About me
Hello! I'm Megan Leonard, and I'm thrilled to be a part of your child's educational journey as a 4th grade teacher. I am a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island (URI), where I earned degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology. Additionally, I hold a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification, which allows me to support diverse learners in acquiring English language skills effectively.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Licensed Mental Health Counseling. This advanced study is deeply enriching my ability to understand and support the emotional and psychological well-being of students, which I believe is crucial for their overall success in school and beyond.
My approach to teaching is grounded in creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued and motivated to learn. I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth.
I am always here to support not only your child but also to partner with you in their educational experience. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or insights you have about your child's learning and development. Together, we can make this a wonderful and successful school year!
Looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
