WEEKLY UPDATE 9/13/24
Good Afternoon Stadium Community,
Another successful week here at Stadium Elementary!
You may hear your student talking about "Star Testing" this week or in the coming weeks. Star tests are assessments that are given to students throughout the year to measure their ability in both reading and math. Teachers can use that data to assess where students currently are and where they need support. Please encourage your students to try their best during Star testing.
Have you seen the Literacy Page on the Cranston Public Schools website? This is a great resource families can use to know what the learning expectations are at each grade level as well as ways you can support your student at home.
This week all students participated in both a fire drill and a lock down drill. These drills are mandated by law but are also necessary to ensure safety of the school community.
Please refrain from dismissing your student from school after 2:30. We do understand that on occasion appointments come up. Furthermore, dismissal is at 3:20. All students must be picked up at 3:20 in that there is no after school supervision.
Finally, have you filled out the lunch application? Stadium Elementary is a Title 1 school and funding is based on free and reduced lunch applications. If you need support filling out the application you can click here or call the school.
